A half-day kayak tour that takes you 2 miles down the river where we discover a Southbound section of the Black Canyon Wilderness area.

This is an excellent trip for beginners and adventurers alike! Easy, short, and only 4 miles round trip.
Down river you will find emerald waters, hidden shores, mysterious places, away from the chaos and crowds. You’ll stop on a beach to relax, re-fuel, and perhaps take a dip in the cool canyon water. And – if you’ve never kayaked before, after this trip, you’ll be on your way to being a kayaker.
By booking a tour, you assume all risks of your participation in this activity, whether known or unknown to you or any events incidental to this activity. You also agree to the release of images/video for Kayak Lake Mead to use at their discretion.

We understand that plans can change, so if you need to cancel your trip and it’s more than 48 hours before departure, no worries! We’ll happily refund you in full. If you rather reschedule for another time, just let us know and we’ll make it happen!
Unfortunately, if you have to cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled trip, we won’t be able to offer a refund. However, we can still work with you to find a better date to go on the trip when it suits you.
Sometimes, Mother Nature just doesn’t cooperate, and we can’t be responsible for weather, waves, wind, rain, heat, or any other unforeseen circumstances. But if we have to cancel the trip due to unsafe conditions, we’ll be happy to reschedule the trip, offer you a rain check, or provide a refund based on your individual circumstances. Private tours cost a little extra so if you end up being the only person booking for that day there are three options.
- Option 1: You can pay the $100 Private Tour fee
- Option 2: We can reschedule for a day with more bookings
- Option 3: The booking is cancelled and you keep your money
